Directions
- Fill the UFO-Balloon with air gently by swinging the UFO-Balloon in the air while holding the bamboo ring.
- Hold the UFO-Balloon upright and have a helper light the fuel.
- Allow the air inside the UFO-Balloon to heat up (45-90 seconds), and with both hands hold the UFO-Balloon securely making sure it stays upright and inflated.
- When the UFO-Balloon is ready to fly it will tug and the sides will be hot to touch. Simply release, stand back and enjoy!
Things you should know about UFO Balloons
Notes:
- The UFO-Balloon paper has been flame-proofed and should not catch fire. Nonetheless, treat it as a regular flammable paper balloon. If the paper is subjected to the flame, it will become black and flaky
- Do not use damaged UFO-Balloons.
- Do not tie items or add any weight whatsoever to the UFO-Balloon.
- Keep the UFO-Balloon away from direct sunlight or high temperatures, as the wax can melt off the patch onto the paper.
- UFO-Balloons are not a toy for children!
Warnings:
- Do not launch the UFO-Balloon if it's raining.
- Check the wind is not over 2 Bft.
- Avoid sources of ignition.
- Keep hair away from the flames at all times.
- Be ware of dripping wax from the patch.
- Always have water or fire extinguishers handy and wear gloves and fireproof clothes.
- No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs should be involved in the handling or igniting of the UFO-Balloons.
- Never use near airports (minimum distance: 15 km), dry standing crops or in places where they could be misinterpreted as a distress signal.
- Check wind direction to ensure that the flight path is clear of trees and powerlines and make sure the UFO-Balloons will not drift into buildings.
- Remember that each UFO-Balloon is a potential fire hazard. It's the responsibility of the firer to use the UFO-Balloon safely.
